An easy way to keep that New Year’s resolution. – Color

Michael Krantz

Happy New Year!

This year my resolution is to make the right resolutions. When it comes to a goal as broad as improving one’s health, the answer will always include everyday habits like eating better, exercising more, and not smoking — the lifestyle changes we all try to make for a lifetime.

But as our friends at Bustle recently reminded us, there’s also a lot to be said for actions that are quick and easy but have a big impact. And when it comes to getting a health bang for your time buck, it’s hard to beat genetic testing. In the time it will take you to pack away your holiday lights and drag this year’s tree to the curb, you can take and submit a genetic test whose results could be a crucial part of preventing conditions like cancer and heart disease.

So yeah: I’m going to the gym five times a week this year, I swear, and there’s no way I’m touching the spread of scrumptious chocolate morsels that’s sitting out there in our office kitchen this morning. The same goes for you too, no doubt, today and for the next 363 days as well. But if you want 2018 to be the year you take great strides for your health, don’t forget the easy stuff.
