Fatima Sabar

“This is something to take and run with. I don’t want my children to go through what I had to go through with my father. I just want them to get the most out of life.”

Every day, we hear how genetic testing for hereditary cancer risk has helped people and their families proactively manage their health. Recently, we had the privilege of meeting Christy and her family. Christy is a force of nature — she is a respiratory therapist, a mom of three young girls, a wife, a daughter and a sister. Christy has a family history of cancer on her father’s side. Her father passed away from cancer when she was a teenager and her grandmother had breast cancer.
