Unmonitored COVID-19 testing for SFUSD students

Color is partnering with SFUSD to expand access to COVID-19 testing for students and staff.

Before picking up an unmonitored kit, create your Color account

You only need to register for unmonitored testing once. This is a different process than registering for an onsite testing site. If you have registered for testing at a Color site at an SFUSD school you will need to re-register for unmonitored testing by creating a color account, adding your student as a dependent to your account, and activating a kit. Once you’ve created an account, pick up a kit at school any day Monday-Friday. Be sure to drop your sample off at your school’s drop bin the same day you collect it.

Students 13 years old or older can create a Color account and consent for testing themselves. Students must use their SFUSD email address when registering–this is how SFUSD will track eligibility and results across schools. Results will be sent to the mobile phone number entered when registering.

For students younger than 13, parents and guardians should create a Color account and add their child as a dependent. We’ll send you an email to confirm the account holders email address once you’ve created your account. You only need to do this once.

The first time a student activates a test kit, they’ll enter their student ID. You only need to do this once.

Some students may be asked for a school program code. Enter your school’s name in the search bar below to find your school-specific program code. The program code will be structured as follows: SF-school code-Unmonitored, e.g. “SF-405-Unmonitored”
