The NIH All of Us Research Program Clinical DNA Test Initiative
Color is proud to support the NIH Clinical DNA Test Initiative, by providing genetic testing and genetic counseling for select All of Us participants.
Individuals seeking genetic testing
Interested in testing for yourself? You don’t need to be part of a program to get started.
Extended Genetic Test
Analysis of 79 genes associated with a broad range of actionable, adult-onset hereditary conditions, including cancer, heart conditions, and how the body may process certain medications.
Results you can use
Genetic testing can help you better understand your health and make better choices for yourself, and possibly your family. If you have a higher chance of a condition, you and your doctor or healthcare provider can take steps to prevent or catch disease early, when they’re easier to treat. Learning about how your DNA impacts your medication response can help you and your doctors find the right medicines for you.
Personal guidance
As part of every Color program, genetic counseling consultations are available on an ongoing basis. Our team of board-certified and licensed genetic counselors provide a personalized experience — we answer questions, provide education, offer support to patients and their families, and consult directly with physicians and care teams to help ensure that results lead to actionable and relevant next steps.

Family Testing Program
If an individual has a mutation, there is a 50% chance that each of their first-degree relatives has it too. Color offers a discount for genetic testing to parents, siblings, and adult children of people with mutations*.
*Offer applies only if the mutation in your family is covered by a Color test currently being offered.
Common Questions
Most people receive a negative result.
This means no important genetic changes were found in the tested genes. No increased risk for hereditary conditions was detected.
A small percentage of people receive a positive result.
This means a meaningful genetic change was found that could affect your health.
If you have a higher chance of a condition, you and your doctor or healthcare provider can take steps to prevent it or catch it early, when treatment works best.
The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) makes it illegal for health insurance companies and employers to discriminate based on genetic information. This includes your clinical DNA testing results. *
Some states have additional protections against genetic discrimination. Laws can change, so it’s a good idea to stay informed.
